Divine Words

It’s been quite a while since I’ve photographed a theatrical performance, so I was delighted when ICTheatre in Brighton got in touch regarding their show Divine Words.

The performance took place in the centre of a dark church with the audience watching from three sides. The changeable lighting, constant movement and low light made photographing the show a real challenge. It was bizarre, humourous and very engaging.

Although the colour images portray the performance in its most accurate sense, I like how converting them to black and white, gives the impression they were taken on a film camera sometime in the past.
